The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has extended until September 2026 its ban on U.S. commercial airlines flying to Haiti’s capital, “due to flight safety risks linked to persistent instability.” The FAA has expanded the restricted airspace beyond Port-au-Prince to include certain areas in Haiti’s Centre and Artibonite departments, the Miami Herald reported.
