The Dominican Republic welcomed nearly 12 million tourists in 2025, making it the second-largest tourist destination in Latin America, President Luis Abinader stated on Friday.
“In 2025, we received more than 11.7 million visitors, an annual growth of 4.3%, equivalent to nearly 500,000 additional visitors compared to 2024 and more than 4 million compared to 2019,” the president said proudly during his State of the Nation address for Independence Day.
