The Haitian government can now purchase defense equipment and services for the Haitian Coast Guard. For the first time since the 1990s, the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAD’H) will receive part of the five million dollars allocated to the “Foreign Military Financing Program” and to “Peacekeeping Operations,” in accordance with the provisions of H.R. 7148, the consolidated appropriations act for fiscal year 2026, enacted on February 3 by President Donald Trump.
