A study conducted by the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MCI), in collaboration with the Directorate for Quality Control and Consumer Protection (DCQPC), reveals that 92% of the water sachets analyzed in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area are non-compliant with standards.

The study, which covered drinking water across all categories, indicates that 83.5% are contaminated. Out of a total of 109 samples collected on the market, 91 tested positive for various indicators of contamination, highlighting a serious public health risk.
