The country is preparing to conclude the second phase of its long post–Jovenel Moïse transition with a third outlook. While former Prime Minister Ariel Henry, chosen by President Moïse before his assassination, was imposed by the international community to lead the first phase of the transition, the concept of a Transitional Presidential Council (CPT) was proposed by sectors of national life. The international community, through CARICOM, helped Haitian stakeholders give shape to and operationalize what was a promising idea. W
