Donald Trump launched a new attack on climate diplomacy on Wednesday, ordering the United States to withdraw from a treaty and from the leading scientific committee on climate, organizations among dozens identified by Washington as no longer “serving American interests.”
The executive order signed by the U.S. president mandates the withdrawal of the United States from a total of 66 organizations, about half of which are linked to the United Nations, the White House announced.
