The United States seized on Wednesday in the North Atlantic a tanker linked to Russia after having pursued it for several weeks as part of the U.S. blockade targeting Venezuelan oil exports, an operation denounced by Moscow.
The U.S. government also announced the seizure of another vessel, this time in the Caribbean, thereby stepping up its fight against the shadow fleet linked to Venezuela, a country with vast oil reserves that Washington seeks to take control of after capturing its president, Nicolás Maduro.
