Presidential adviser Fritz Alphonse Jean reacted firmly to the U.S. government's decision to impose visa restrictions on him. Without officially confirming or denying whether he appears on the list of sanctioned individuals, Mr. Jean maintained that he has “never been an advocate of violence” and denounced a “masquerade” orchestrated to silence him in the political struggle over whether Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé should remain in office.
