Hurricane Melissa: European Union Delivers Over 30 Tons of Humanitarian Aid to Haiti

A humanitarian flight funded by the European Union (EU) arrived in Port-au-Prince on Thursday, November 6, 2025, carrying more than 30 tons of relief supplies for the victims of Hurricane Melissa.

This operation is part of the EU’s response to the humanitarian situation in Haiti following Hurricane Melissa. In addition, the EU has launched a humanitarian air bridge from Panama to Port-au-Prince to deliver essential goods to the country’s population.

The flight arrived around 5 p.m. at Toussaint Louverture International Airport in the presence of several journalists. According to the EU Ambassador to Haiti, Hélène Roos, the cargo includes housing kits, tarpaulins, and medical and sanitary supplies. S
