Created by the 1987 Haitian Constitution and officially inaugurated in 1995, the École de la Magistrature (EMA) is preparing to celebrate its 30th anniversary. The institution, which has experienced both successes and challenges, has already trained more than two hundred magistrates across seven cohorts. However, a dormitory problem continues to hinder its development, even as the country faces an urgent need to increase the number of magistrates serving the population.
