Despite the political, economic, and security crisis affecting Haiti, as well as the closure of borders with the Dominican Republic, trade between the two countries remains dynamic—particularly in regard to Dominican exports. According to preliminary data from the Dominican General Directorate of Customs (DGA), between January and August 2025, the value of Dominican exports to Haiti reached 775.8 million U.S. dollars, representing an increase of 32.3% compared to the same period in 2024.
