Le Nouvelliste obtained access to a 39-page UCREF document transmitted to the prosecutor’s office revealing troubling elements in the case of two former mayors implicated in money laundering and illicit enrichment: Jude Édouard Pierre, former mayor of Carrefour, and Jean Hislain Frédéric, former mayor of Cité Soleil. Contrary to what had previously been written in Le Nouvelliste, they are not charged with financing terrorism.
