Shelenchie Rose Naïka Jeanty was born on December 14, 2001, at the State University Hospital of Haiti (HUEH). As a child, she grew up in the neighborhoods of Delmas 18, Delmas 24, and Bon-Repos, in the Cul-de-Sac plain, always surrounded by her family. She witnessed various events she considered abnormal, without being able to name them. Growing up, she realized these were social inequalities and wanted to find ways to fight them.
