In the face of growing violence in Haiti, the National Book Directorate (DNL) wants to use reading as a form of resistance. During the 23rd edition of the government program Les Mardis de la Nation on August 26, DNL director Ernst Saint-Louis emphasized the importance of making books accessible to everyone, especially young people at risk of being influenced by armed groups. He sees this as a cultural alternative and a way to strengthen citizenship.
