Vladimir Paraison Takes Over as Acting Head of Haitian National Police

On Friday, August 8, 2025, André Jonas Vladimir Paraison was installed as the new Acting Director General of the Haitian National Police (PNH). He replaces Rameau Normil, who had held this position for the second time—this second term lasting a total of 13 months and 20 days.

This was the first action taken by the Transitional Presidential Council (CPT) with Laurent Saint-Cyr as its new coordinator: replacing the Acting Commander of the PNH, Rameau Normil, with Vladimir Paraison, who had already been considered for the post.
