PNH Clarifies Circumstances Surrounding Nenel Cassy Arrest

The spokesperson for the Haitian National Police (HNP), Mickel Ange Louis Jeune, presented the progress of the investigation following the arrest of former senator Nenel Cassy during a press conference held on Friday, August 8, 2025. Michel Ange Louis Jeune also took the opportunity to provide an update on other cases currently being handled by the police institution.

According to the HNP spokesperson, searches were carried out by law enforcement officers following the former senator’s arrest in several locations he regularly frequented. Accompanied by the accused, investigators from the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ) visited his private residence in Pèlerin and the Djoune’s Bar and Grill hotel located in Delmas 40B.
