Laurent Saint-Cyr Takes Over as Head of the Transitional Presidential Council

Fritz Alphonse Jean passed the rotating presidency of the Transitional Presidential Council (CPT) to Laurent Saint-Cyr during a ceremony held at the Villa d’Accueil on Thursday, August 7, 2025. The transfer of power ceremony took place in the presence of the other members of the CPT, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, members of his ministerial cabinet, representatives of the Court of Cassation, police and army officials, diplomats, as well as key figures from the business community, civil society, and employers’ associations.
