Former Interim President Privert Calls Draft Constitution a “Monstrosity”, Warns of Dictatorship Risk

Former transitional president (2016–2017) Jocelerme Privert has criticized the draft Constitution submitted to the executive branch. Speaking on the Monday, July 28, 2025 edition of Panel Magik, Privert warned that this “monstrosity,” if imposed on the country, would create political instability and could pave the way for a return to dictatorship.

Jocelerme Privert, former president of the National Assembly and former president of the Republic, expressed strong criticism of the process launched to give the country a new Constitution.
