AAN Clarifies Its Position on the Cayes–Miami IBC Airways Route

While the airline IBC Airways claims that the National Airport Authority (AAN) has ignored its requests to open a route between Les Cayes and Miami, the Director General of the state institution, Yves Ducarmel François, denies any accusations of obstruction. Invited on the Panel Magik show on Magik 9 this Wednesday, July 16, he provided clarification on the exchanges between the AAN and the American company, stating that IBC officials were indeed received and assisted in their efforts.

“We received letters from IBC Airways, but we did much more than just respond,” said Yves Ducarmel François, Director General of the National Airport Authority (AAN), in a firm tone. According to him, this is in no way a case of non-cooperation on the part of the AAN, as some airline executives have implied. “I personally received them in my office. That meeting was a clear response, to let them know we stand by them for their operations,” he emphasized.
