Minister Antoine Gives Favorable Report on 2024–2025 National Exams

During the 17th edition of Tuesdays of the Nation, the Minister of National Education and Vocational Training presented a detailed report on the conduct of official exams for the 2024–2025 school year. A total of 303,963 candidates were registered: 188,141 for 9th fundamental year, 97,792 for Secondary IV, 1,009 for the permanent baccalaureate, and 14,292 for the permanent baccalaureate (NS4). Other categories include 424 registered in family education centers, 2,141 at the Normal School for Teachers, and 162 under special cases.

Augustin Antoine, head of the MENFP, welcomed the smooth running of the 9th fundamental year exams this year, with a success rate of 96.5 percent. “According to the departmental directors of the Ministry, the exams went smoothly with a 96.5 percent success rate. As for the incidents in Lascahobas, where the exams had been canceled due to violence alerts, measures were taken to reschedule the exams on Wednesday, July 9 in Thomonde and Belladère,” the Minister revealed.
