Education Ministry Receives Transportation Support from UNESCO

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) donated six vehicles and ten motorcycles to the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP). The handover ceremony took place on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the UNESCO office in Pétion-Ville, in the presence of the UNESCO Resident Representative, Eric Voli Bi, the Minister of National Education, Augustin Antoine, and senior officials of the MENFP.

The MENFP received from UNESCO three Toyota Land Cruisers, three Ford pickup trucks, and ten Yamaha motorcycles. The symbolic handover of the keys to Minister Augustin Antoine was carried out by the UNESCO Resident Representative, Eric Voli Bi, following the signing of the property transfer document. According to Eric Voli Bi, this donation reflects UNESCO’s determination to sustainably strengthen the operational capacities of Haiti’s education system.
