A deadline awaits the Transitional Presidential Council (CPT) in the coming days: June 24, 2025. On that date, the new Penal Code of March 2020 is set to come into force. The executive, led by the CPT–Prime Minister duo, has not held a Council of Ministers meeting in several weeks that would have allowed them to deliberate on the text. This is due to internal disagreements within the nine-member Transitional Presidential Council.
