Frinel Joseph Confirms CPT’s Operational Failures

"The Transitional Presidential Council is paralyzed due to internal conflicts among the voting members," wrote Presidential Advisor Frinel Joseph in a letter sent on Monday, June 16, to his fellow Council members. As an observer member of the CPT, Frinel Joseph urges his peers in power to prioritize the collective interest, proposing several points to help steer the CPT back on course.

In addition to the inability to convene a Council of Ministers meeting for the past three months, the members of the Transitional Presidential Council have made their divisions public. These divisions are marked not by differing visions of how to lead the country or improve the population’s living conditions, but by disputes over the distribution of high-level positions in public administration and diplomatic posts.
