The CARICOM Group of Eminent Persons (GPE) consulted with political actors in Haiti last week. Le Nouvelliste was able to confirm this information with several leaders of political coalitions that contributed to the formation of the current Transitional Presidential Council (CPT). The Caribbean envoys are exploring the possibility of holding formal discussions among Haitian stakeholders, as the CPT has thus far failed to restore security or organize elections.
