Infrastructure: Raphaël Hosty Presented Projects in the Greater North and Greater South

Development of Infrastructure in the Northern and Southern Departments: Balancing Challenges and Opportunities for a Sustainable and Attractive Economy was the theme of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Wednesday event held on May 14, 2025, via the Zoom platform. During these discussions, Minister Raphaël Hosty, head of the Ministry of Public Works, Transport, and Communications (MTPTC), presented the transport infrastructure projects planned by the MTPTC in the Northern and Southern Departments.

For the Grand North, Minister Raphaël Hosty outlined projects in the airport sector. "Emergency works financed by the World Bank are underway. There are also ongoing studies for the complete rehabilitation of the runway and control tower of Cap-Haïtien International Airport, not to mention the existence of a master plan that includes the terminal, thanks to financing from the IDB," stated Raphaël Hosty.

Regarding road infrastructure, the Minister of Public Works presented ongoing projects in the Grand North
