Radio Télévision Caraïbes Burned Down by Armed Gangs

The premises of Radio Télévision Caraïbes (RTVC) on Rue Chavannes, in Port-au-Prince, were set on fire during the night of Wednesday, March 12, to Thursday, March 13, 2025. This attack comes as, on the night of March 12, the Haitian National Police (PNH) repelled an assault by armed gangs attempting to invade parts of Carrefour-Feuilles and Rue Capois.

"DG, they set the radio on fire," a voice can be heard saying in a video that went viral on social media on the morning of Thursday, March 13, 2025. The 27-second video shows the façade of the RTVC building, blackened by flames. "I shouldn’t even be standing here to record this video.
