Publicly, the CPT disapproved of Conille’s government’s record, leading to his dismissal amid widespread indifference from the population and the chaos caused by armed gangs in the Haitian capital. In this same climate of indifference, Didier Fils-Aimé assumed office as the new CPT-appointed Prime Minister.
