Investigating Judge Marthel Jean-Claude, in charge of the corruption case within the National School Canteen Program (PNCS), has placed Phanèse R. Laguerre, former coordinator of the PNCS, in preventive detention following her hearing on January 31, 2025.
Judge Jean-Claude ordered her detention for embezzlement of public property, abuse of office, and illegal awarding of public contracts, in accordance with the findings of the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC) report, published on September 3, 2024.
