Frantz Duval Celebrates Four Decades of Collaboration with Le Nouvelliste

Driven by his enthusiasm, a 20-year-old young man writes a letter to Dr. Carlo A. Désinor, star journalist of Le Nouvelliste, to share his opinions on an article in which the latter criticized the spelling mistakes of a student who had copied the Serment au Drapeau. It was February 5, 1985, and that article opened the doors of the prestigious daily newspaper on Rue du Centre to Frantz Duval. The rest is history—40 years later.

This February 5, 2025, marks 40 years since the beginning of Frantz Duval’s collaboration with Le Nouvelliste. Four decades later, the newspaper’s current editor-in-chief remembers his beginnings as if they were yesterday. He revisited this part of his story in an interview given this Wednesday. Before seeing his first text published in the newspaper’s columns, before reading his own articles, Frantz Duval was an avid listener of Le Nouvelliste.
