Pope Francis welcomed the President of Haiti's Transitional Presidential Council, Leslie Voltaire, to the Apostolic Palace at the Vatican on Saturday, January 25. Following the meeting, Leslie Voltaire also met with the Vatican's Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin.
Discussions at the Secretariat of State focused primarily on relations between the Holy See and Haiti. The Pope's audience with Leslie Voltaire began at 9:30 a.m. and lasted 20 minutes.
