ICT-Haiti-BRH Initiative Aims to Boost Human Capital

The Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) launched the TIC-Haïti-BRH program on Friday, January 24, 2025, at the Karibe Hotel. The event was attended by Governor Ronald Gabriel, university representatives, and students selected for the program. This initiative, aimed at strengthening digital skills in the country, is being carried out in partnership with several universities specializing in technology. Key areas of training include cybersecurity, database analysis, networking, and artificial intelligence.

In his opening remarks, the governor emphasized that the program serves a threefold purpose: “to reduce the digital divide by strengthening the technological infrastructure; to address the immediate and upcoming needs of the financial sector in a context marked by brain drain; and to enhance the protection of our digital space against cyber risks to ensure financial stability, which is one of BRH’s primary missions.”
