New Constitution Highlights to Be Shared in February, Says Enex Jean-Charles

The Steering Committee for the National Conference, installed on August 23, 2024, has assured that it will be ready to submit the main guidelines for a new Constitution to the executive branch by the end of February. With an operating budget exceeding 600 million gourdes, covering the period from August 2024 to January 2026, the committee’s president, Enex Jean-Charles, has announced the organization of consultations throughout Haiti and within the diaspora.

"By the end of February, we will have a proposed constitutional revision to submit to the executive," said Enex Jean-Charles, President of the Steering Committee for the National Conference, in an exclusive interview with Le Nouvelliste on Thursday. The former prime minister reminded readers that the committee was given three months from its installation to present the main guidelines necessary for revising the Constitution to the executive.
