PNH, FAD’H, and MMSS Navigate Promises and Challenges

The promises and commitments made by police authorities, the high command of the Armed Forces of Haiti, and the leadership of the multinational force led by Kenya to restore peace to the country in 2024 were not fulfilled. The challenges to ensuring that these promises are realized in 2025 remain significant.

Haiti began 2025 still plagued by gangs, lawless neighborhoods, and national roads occupied by criminal groups. While the Haitian National Police (PNH), in collaboration with the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAD’H) and the multinational force led by Kenya, continues its operations against the gangs, the security conditions in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince remain the same as they were in 2024.
