A third contingent of 217 Kenyan officers, announced for October 2024 by Kenyan President William Ruto during his official visit to Haiti on Saturday, September 21, finally arrived in Port-au-Prince on Saturday, January 18, 2025. This new contingent brings the total number of Kenyan officers on the ground to 597, joining the 380 already deployed as part of the Multinational Security Support Mission (MSSM).
