Frantz Monclair has been officially installed as the acting government commissioner at the Court of First Instance of Port-au-Prince. His installation took place discreetly, away from journalists’ cameras, on the morning of Tuesday, January 14, despite opposition from his predecessor, Me Lionel Constant Bourgoin, who deemed the transfer “illegal.”

The standoff initiated by outgoing commissioner Bourgoin with the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Patrick Pélissier, proved unsuccessful. Frantz Monclair
