IDB and CNMP Introduce Public Procurement Professionalization Program

The National Commission for Public Procurement (CNMP) officially launched two accreditation programs on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the Montana Hotel: Manager Specialist in Professional Training (MSPT) and Manager Specialist in Public Procurement (MSPP). This initiative, funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), is being carried out in partnership with the Rectorate of the State University of Haiti (RUEH), SETYM International, and the School of Management Sciences at the University of Quebec in Montreal.

This program comes at a time when Haiti faces a significant skills shortage in the field of public procurement. Public institutions struggle to find qualified professionals to efficiently manage their projects. “The country suffers from a lack of expertise in this area,” highlighted Dalberg Claude, interim coordinator of the CNMP, while commending the determination of partners to launch this program despite the country’s fragile situation.
