ANAPROSS Hopes for Improvement in the Petroleum Sector

For several years, Haiti’s petroleum sector has been heavily impacted by the ongoing instability in the country, repeatedly causing supply issues at service stations in the metropolitan area and certain provincial cities. Speaking on Magik 9 on Friday, December 27, 2024, the president of the National Association of Service Station Owners (ANAPROSS), Marc André Deriphonse, provided an overview of the sector’s situation in 2024 and expressed hope for improvement in the coming year.

While fuel shortages in the past were often due to delays in placing orders or disputes between oil importers and the Haitian government, in recent years, armed gangs have repeatedly disrupted the delivery of petroleum products to service stations.
