With the appointment of Jean-Victor Harvel Jean-Baptiste as the new Minister of Foreign Affairs and the return of Republicans to power in the United States, questions arise about whether Haiti will continue hiring lobbyists to advocate for its interests in Washington. "Haitian diplomacy must focus on defending Haiti's interests. Do you believe a lobbyist will defend your interests for you? [...] The mistake has always been to focus on lobbyists.
