Jean Harvel Victor Jean-Baptiste was officially installed as the new Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship (MAEC) on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, during a brief ceremony held at the MAEC offices in Delmas 60, presided over by Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé.
During the installation ceremony, Prime Minister Fils-Aimé urged the new chancellor to "represent and defend Haiti's interests with determination, skill, and commitment," emphasizing the need for Haitian diplomacy to serve as "a lever"
