Several cases of kidnapping were reported in Port-au-Prince between November 7 and 8. According to testimonies gathered by Le Nouvelliste, at least one incident occurred in Delmas 40 B on the evening of November 7. The newspaper learned that a mother and her daughter were abducted from their home.
At least two schoolchildren were also kidnapped on November 8 in Puits-Blain while on their way to school. Another kidnapping case was reported early in the morning in the Musseau area.
