In her speech, Minister Marie Françoise Suzan reflected on the ministry’s early days, saying, "At its inception, many doubted the relevance of a ministry dedicated to women’s rights. But thanks to the determination of Haitian feminist movements, the ministry has become a strong voice for women who had long been forgotten."
