Leslie Voltaire, President of Haiti’s Transitional Presidential Council (CPT), has formally written to UN Secretary-General António Guterres, requesting the transformation of the Multinational Security Support Mission (MSS) into a peacekeeping mission. This letter, referenced on Tuesday during a UN Security Council meeting by Haiti’s ambassador to the UN, Antonio Rodrigue, was sent on October 21.
