The metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince is facing a new wave of assaults by criminal groups in several neighborhoods this week. The attacks began on the evening of October 16, 2024, on Magloire Ambroise Street. Witnesses told Le Nouvelliste that criminals stormed the area, setting houses on fire and driving out residents. At least one person, a motorcyclist, was killed during the attack.
