CSPJ Approaches Full Membership

Just days before the start of the new judicial year, the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ) welcomed the swearing-in of eight of its nine members on Thursday, October 3, at its headquarters in Frères. The ceremony was attended by Edgard Leblanc Fils, President of the Transitional Presidential Council (CPT), Prime Minister Garry Conille, Minister of Justice Carlos Hercule, and other notable figures.

The fifth judiciary is now nearly complete. Eight members were sworn in as councilors of the CSPJ. These include Barthélémy Altenor, Vice President, Noé Massillon Pierre-Louis, representing the Courts of Appeal; Wando Saint-Vilier, representing the Courts of First Instance; Lionel Constant Bourgoin, Government Commissioner at the Port-au-Prince TPI; Erode Bazile, representing the Peace Courts; and Jude Thimogène, representing the Human Rights Sector.
