School Year Stalled for Lycées in the Capital

Several Lycées will not be able to operate on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, the scheduled date for the reopening of classes for the 2024-2025 academic year. These schools, which were forced to vacate their usual premises during the previous year, currently lack facilities to accommodate students for the new school year.

The Jean-Jacques Dessalines Lycée has been relocated to the premises of the Paul Robert College, under a contract with the Haitian government, after being occupied by displaced persons from Carrefour-Feuilles in early August 2023.
