Garry Conille: "The Haitian Crisis Has Been Grossly Underestimated"

On Monday, September 23, Prime Minister Garry Conille of Haiti and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau co-chaired a meeting of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) to address the ongoing crisis in Haiti.

On Monday, September 23, Prime Minister Garry Conille of Haiti and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau co-chaired a meeting of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) to address the ongoing crisis in Haiti. Canada currently holds the chair of ECOSOC's Ad Hoc Advisory Group on Haiti. In his opening remarks, Prime Minister Conille highlighted the "significant and transformational progress" made, particularly through joint operations between the Haitian National Police (PNH) and Kenyan forces.
