Antony Blinken Calls for a "Swift Reauthorization" of the HOPE/HELP Act

In a long-term effort to support Haiti's economy, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced that the Biden administration is working with Congress for the swift renewal of the HOPE/HELP Act. This commitment comes just five days before a meeting at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in Washington with Haitian and American officials, as well as factory owners. The message: “Don't leave, be patient, as Haiti is working to resolve its problems.”

During his visit to Haiti on Thursday, September 5, Blinken revealed that the Biden administration is actively collaborating with Congress for a "rapid reauthorization" of the HOPE/HELP Act.
