Although Haiti has had new authorities in place for months, the acute, multifaceted crisis facing the country remains unresolved. The Presidential Transition Council (PTC) may have allowed for a better distribution of power, but it is far from being the catalyst the country so desperately needs. If the allegations against three of the nine counselors involved in the National Credit Bank (BNC) scandal are not properly addressed, the PTC could become part of the problem rather than the solution it was meant to be.
