Five Haitians Named Young Ambassadors for the Francophonie of the Americas

From August 9 to 15, 2024, Nova Scotia, Canada, hosted the 7th edition of the Francophonie Youth Ambassadors Forum of the Americas. Among the 50 young leaders selected from over 600 applications, five Haitians were recognized for their commitment to the French language and the promotion of Francophone cultures: Judith Cénot, Laura Louis, Ritzamarum Zétrenne, Marc Sony Ricot, and Weldy Saint-Fleur.

At the campuses of Dalhousie University in Halifax and Saint-Anne University in Pointe-de-l’Église, participants engaged in a rich and diverse program. This included lectures, workshops, panels, and cultural activities. Participants gained theoretical and practical knowledge organized into four essential blocks: personal development, critical thinking, practical skills, and sharing knowledge.
