Marie Rebecca Guillaume Chosen as Women's Representative on the CEP

During a press conference held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, the Haitian feminist organizations Kay Fanm, Solidarité des Femmes Haïtiennes (SOFA), Kri Fanm Ayiti (KRIFA), the TOYA Foundation, and the Federation of Women's Organizations for Human Rights Equality (FEDOFEDH) announced the election of Marie-Rebecca Guillaume as the new representative of the women’s sector to the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP).

Marie Rebecca Guillaume was elected as the representative of the women's organizations sector to the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) following the vote on August 26, 2024. She won the election with five votes. The other candidates were Mrs. Ericarme Joassaint, who received four votes; Mrs. Greatz Marie Lydie Sironel Gracia Charles and Mrs. Maranatha Millien, each with two votes; and Mrs. Marie Françoise Boursiquot, who received just one vote.
